Working It: Sex Workers on the Work of Sex

This is a the portrait of many faces of people unseen and unheard of the intimate lives of sex workers -- a varied and nuanced showcase into a nuanced and work sector containing many different experiences and voices. Intersecting experiences of gender, race, ethnicity, persecutory status, indigenous experience, and more, this is a polyphonic work of mixed media; the book contains interviews, first-person essays, poetry, drawings, paintings, collages, and photography. These pieces are a look into the first-hand lived experiences of those working the industry, on and far beyond the colloquial street.
