From the Platform 2: More NYC Subway Graffiti, 1983–1989
In the 1980s, brothers Kenny and Paul documented the Boogie Down Bronx graffiti scene through over 500 photos on dismantled MTA subway cars. They documented their comrades before, during, and after the act, using their cameras. The document, co-produced by graffiti historian Henry Chalfant, features tags like QUIK and IZTHEWIZ, and dozens of artists sharing stories and dropping knowledge without filter.
