Bob Dylan’s 1983 album Infidels, a departure from his previous works, is unique among his albums. While songs like “Jokerman” and “I and I” are well-known, the album itself is less so. This book draws on previously unseen resources in The Bob Dylan Archive® in Tulsa to tell the story of the album’s writing and recording. Author Terry Gans gained unique permission to access Dylan’s personal notebooks, song drafts, master session tapes, and reference recordings, creating a detailed picture of Dylan’s creative process.
