Holmes Tuttle: His Life and Legacy
by Jodi Goalstone Author
Son of James “J. H.” Tuttle, namesake of Tuttle, Oklahoma, Holmes Tuttle (1905-1989) was a Chickasaw entrepreneur who left for California at a young age to go into the automobile business, establishing several major dealerships of his own in the area. He served on some of the country’s major industrial, commercial, and medical boards. Tuttle began a remarkable journey of success, influence, and recognition, which led him into national politics and even the White House. In 2012, the family of Holmes Tuttle compiled and published a tribute to his life and accomplishments, of which Chickasaw Press has been granted the privilege to republish. Holmes Tuttle: His Life and Legacy provides a literary testament to the man he was at home, among family, and the strength of his connections to his roots.
