This book is a primer to all things mushrooms! While not comprehensive nor a thick tome of information, the book provides the basics of all things fungi. It will talk about the biology of mushrooms and explain them, in a Q&A format; it will explain their evolution and how they classification system came to be around them. It also includes beginner information on identifying and foraging these guys, to be able to parse out which are delectable culinary specimens, which are medicinal, and which are considered toxic. More than that, it even will provide some advice on how to cook them. Colorfully illustrated throughout, with photography interspersed, and QR codes linking to outside information, this resource is a good choice for beginners to the mycelium kingdom.
