Rag & Bone: A History of What We've Thrown Away

Usually when things are thrown out we don't think twice over the impact it can have on our history or the story they can tell about the time we live in. Lisa Woollett goes on a journey recovering those objects left behind in the past to paint a picture of our history and how consumer culture has changed over the years. Mudlarking through Thames, to the Kentish estuary and Cornwall, Woollett finds and documents the rubbish of the past from Roman tiles to plastic toy soldiers and more to paint a beautiful picture of how the things we leave behind can tell a story. It makes us think twice about what we should leave behind to tell our story.
