God is Disappointed in You

Mark Russell, in his preface to God is Disappointed in You, states that his goal in writing this book is to share the stranger stories of the Bible in order to let others know what's actually in the Bible and, subsequently, in their religions. He condenses the Bible using modern language and references, interpreting and distilling the lessons he has garnered from reading through the whole Bible. Along with his interpretations, artist Shannon Wheeler draws small comics that further condense the stories of the Bible.
