The Princess Diarist

Teenaged Carrie Fisher kept a diary of her time shooting the first Star Wars movie. You'll read some excerpts here, but the main event is her essay looking back at the affair she had during the shoot with co-star Harrison Ford. Her adult take is touching, acerbic but gentle. Her teenage self was clearly a confused mess. The juxtaposition is heart-wrenching. This is a quick read about troubled attachments, the awkwardness of being in your twenties, and the importance of responsibility in relationships.
