Skating rocks!!.. Nothin' compares with practicing this sport...andrenaline,fun,...all you want with only some free time and a little bit of will...

This patch kicks ass. Just on the level thats it's funny, and it shouldn't be read too deep into.

Skating is awsome...and shredding is the way to go...besides biking

Someone mentioned how skating=feminism & that's very true, if you become aware of all the new flat track women roller derby leagues that have started around the U.S. This thing is non-corporate & will be huge in a few years!

well, skating is no longer punk.

Yeah, i think the too phrases should be separate.

Unfortunately "smash the state learn to bike" doesn't rhyme.

Skating and Biking are both great ways to "Smash the Corporate State". The American emperor cannot ride either.

A friend of mine runs a grrrlz (whoever self-identifies as such) skate camp and has that slogan for her camp. I think fer her it also has something to do with battling gender oppression in skating along with capitalism and giving young grrrlz the opportunity to kick ass in something that they generally don't have access to...

skating creates a lot of waste.... i still do it....

People talk about how bikes can be revolutionary all the time because it is human powered transportation, meaning you are not supporting the oil industry or cars and you are getting there through your own effort with minimal or no impact environmentally. It's the same thing with skating. At least that's how I read it.

Skating is an activity that requires no coaches. It is a lifestyle built on solidarity, and a common hatred for those who try to inhibit, ban, or corporatize it. Skating has everything to do with smashing the state.

I kinda think it is meant to be funny. There is nothing inherently radical or revolutionary about skating, especially with how commercial and tame it has gotten in the media over the years.

December 12, 2004

I skate... what does skating have to do with smashing the state?

November 11, 2004

Right on i totally agree with that (A)
