With a shrinking potion, magical tools, and friends, she helps other kids face leukemia and its treatment. Inspired by Rae Burremo’s leukemia experience, this zine uses 36 pages of full illustrations to tell the true story of childhood cancer from a child’s perspective.

Leukemia affects 1 in every 1000 children, but their voices are rarely heard. Created by pediatric patients, doctors, and children’s author Hey Gee, this zine explores how child patients at Mayo Clinic experience illness, challenges, and recovery. This zine is recommended for kids ages 8 to 11.
