Indigenous Repatriation Handbook

The Indigenous Repatriation Handbook serves as a guide for Indigenous communities in British Columbia working to return Indigenous objects and Ancestral remains from museums to their original keeps, while maintaining working relationships with museums. The first handbook of its kind written by and for Indigenous communities, this handbook is written with practical instructions in 34 Indigenous languages and in alignment with the cultural traditions of respective communities to repatriate artifacts. This handbook is also a useful guide for museums seeking to repatriate artifacts to Indigenous communities.
