Grasping the Grape: Demystifying Grape Varieties to Help You Discover the Wines You Love

This is an illustrated primer to all things wine, exploring the grapes around the world and the process of creating wine—in an accessible tone and manner that won’t alienate with jargon-filled language and practically approached information. The author will jump around from variety to variety, exploring many regions of the world and the wonderful viticulture they produce. It will profile the wines with their notable characteristics such as flavor notes to expect and more distinguishing features. Much information is also explained and exemplified through the use of engaging infographics, but also a guide to being able to understand a wine label and choosing a wine, pairing it with food, and a handy glossary or much terminology on the content covered in the book for handy reference. It’s a good starting point for those interested in understanding wine more.
