The Monster Detector (Big Foot and Little Foot, Bk. 2)

Hugo, a young Sasquatch, and Boone, a young boy, continue their adventures in The Monster Detector, the second book in Ellen Potter’s hilarious chapter-book series. After an unlikely encounter, they become best friends. Hugo saves up his Monster Card wrappers and receives a Monster Detector, which he uses to spot a monster in his cavern. Excited, he heads to school and finds Boone, who wants to attend Sasquatch school. Not everyone is happy about it, but Hugo supports his friend.

Boone’s first day is rocky, but Hugo makes another monster sighting and chases the creature. More surprises follow, challenging Hugo’s understanding of what it means to be a “monster.”
