The Second in the World to Sail the Globe: Sir Francis Drake

In the spirit of people who aren’t the first to do something, but still make history, this children’s picture book explores the life of Sir Francis Drake—an explorer that sailed around the world! Well, maybe he wasn’t simply an explorer. He was also a pirate that plundered, stole, and battled across the water during the 16th century. Children and their parents can learn all about his life, crimes, and other shenanigans along the high seas. Along with the fun facts and narrative, there are also activities—this book is geared to kids around ages 6 to 10.
