Ms. Marvel Volume 1: No Normal

In this new Marvel comic, Jersey City Muslim girl Kamala Khan gains shape-shifting superpowers and transforms herself into a new Ms. Marvel!  After sneaking out to a party and being sorely disappointed by her petty classmates, she runs from them and starts towards home, but is caught in some very strange mist after just a few blocks.  Suddenly she has superpowers, and though she isn't quite sure how to use them yet, she transforms herself into a young Captain Marvel and saves a classmate from drowning.  After this first act of heroism, she is determined to master her new superpowers, and, with the help of a friend, become the Ms. Marvel that her city needs.
