Treemendous: Diary of a Not Yet Mighty Oak

by Bridget Heos Author and Mike Ciccotello Illustrator

This adorable children's book tells the story of a little acorn on its way to becoming an oak tree. With some basic scientific principles communicated in a clear and accessible way, Treemendous will entertain your kids or your students even as they learn about the life cycle of oak trees. From the moment it fell from an oak tree, to being buried by a squirrel, to sprouting into another mighty oak, this little acorn is charismatic and cute, with illustrations to match. An excellent children's book that combines education and fun.

Seconded for library thieves. A local library near where I used to live didn't stock "controversial" books, since "they are more likely to be stolen."
