Who Shares the Restroom Code with ICE Agents?

In May 2017, five ICE officers sat for breakfast at Sava’s restaurant in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After eating, they handcuffed and detained three kitchen staff members. ICE detentions and deportations without due process persist. Many restaurants and establishments conduct Know Your Rights training, and informative flyers are posted in Chicago, but the fascists are relentless.

But back to Sava’s—did the agents tip the waitstaff before arresting the kitchen staff? Did they compliment the chef while cuffing him in front of diners and coworkers? As ICE grows bolder and public resistance intensifies, these secret police agents and unknown thugs we fund with our taxes, the author ponders about how easily they move through the city during their downtime, terrorizing immigrants in the name of white supremacy while hiding behind masks, along thoughts about their fans and supporters.
