Drag King Dreams

In post-9/11 Manhattan, Max is a butch lesbian bouncer at a drag king bar. Sparked by a series of tragedies, Max's midlife crisis involves a lot of activism and coming together with chosen family. A later (2006) novel by the author of the classic Stone Butch Blues, this book takes a hard look at queer life in a very specific time and place.
