It's Your World: Creating Calm Spaces and Places with Bob Ross

I was kind of skeptical when I got this audio-zine in my review box. Part of the charm of zines for me is the complete package. The writing, the layout, the feeling of the paper, the cover art--the whole thing. I was afraid that this audio-zine...would not have the charm that I like so much about zines. I was wrong. Yes, and audio-zine or a zine compilation like this one is completely different from a regular zine, but you shouldn't try to look at it as a substitute for a regular zine. This is more an addition to regular zines, because you get an extra part added to the experience: the voice of the writer, reading the piece in the way that he or she had initially intended it to be read. I really liked this extra personal touch and most of the stories and ramblings on this CD are really cool and interesting. Listening to this gave me the same kind of feeling as reading a zine and I'm determined to check out some of the zines that were represented on this disc of whom I had never heard...Highly recommended and a cool idea.
