Black Panther Party
by David F. Walker Author and Marcus Kwame Anderson Illustrator
For decades upon decades, black people have been fighting for their rights to be seen as human beings. A radical transformation takes place in Oakland 1966 after the Black Panther Party was founded, bringing a significant change from black people’s social, educational, and healthcare programs. The Black Panther Party not only displays immersive drawings of the brutal life black people endured, but also on how it was the power of their voice and strive for justice that really began making a change towards a better country.
