This is a kid’s picture book that explores the life of Alfred Russel Wallace, the underdog that developed the second theory of evolution, after Charles Darwin who was a friend and colleague of his. Not many people may know of him, as he didn’t receive the fanfare and critique that Mr. Darwin did, but all the same made amazing contributions to science and our knowledge of animal life. He documented tons of species, many of which have been named after him. It has plenty of historical facts to share, engaging illustration from the series’ artists, as well as activities. All together, this book has been designed for kids around ages 6 to 10.
