$25 Superpack: Restorative Justice Kit
Frustrated at the prison "justice" system and looking for actual justice? After many years of conflated issues that mostly result in hand-wringing and then frustratedly throwing our hands up in the air, we have sought and compiled these resources that look at an alternate path to healing, justice, and even healthy resolution.
Restorative justice focuses on the needs of the victims and the offenders, as well as the involved community, instead of satisfying abstract legal principles or punishing the offender. Victims take an active role in the process, while offenders take responsibility for their actions, repair the harm they've done in practical ways, and provide help to prevent future offenses. It is based on the idea that wrongdoing is an offense against a community, rather than the state. Restorative justice that fosters dialogue between victim and offender shows the highest rates of victim satisfaction and offender accountability.
Kit includes Doing It Better, Support, Learning Good Consent, Radical Responses to Relationship Violence: for Community Accountability, Accounting for Ourselves, How to be Accountable, and Consensuality.
