Amilcar Cabral (aka Abel Djassi) led the nationalist movement that ended colonialism in Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde. He was assassinated in 1973, just months short of being able to celebrate the independence he dedicated his life to. He was a thinker and leader influenced by Marxism and the dream of an Africa free of European rule. This poster is by justseeds artist Josh MacPhee.
