This issue of long-running zine review zine XD has an unofficial theme of "why do we keep making zines," inspired by this issue's column by Ken Bausert, who's also published 40-something issues of The Ken Chronicles. Read more columns by zinesters around the world about why they write zines and what writing and publishing issues are on their minds, and a dozen contributors review the new zines that are coming across their desks. XD is always a fascinating and wonderful document, and this issue has a ton of heart as contributors grapple with what's most meaningful to them.
