In this fourth edition of Smash the Skatriarchy, author Amelia Bjesse-Puffin continues profiling skaters that don't fit the stereotypical mold. Bjesse-Puffin chats with scooter rider and student Brixton and skaters Melissa and Sam, learning about what their skate culture is like, and hearing stories from about what skating was like back in the 80s and 90s. Also included is a reflection on the importance of obtaining consent from the subjects of photographs, a discussion about treating those who ride scooters with the same respect as those who ride skateboards, and a toolkit for skaters to dismantle rape culture in their communities.
