Nine Defenses Against the Basilisk

This zine contains 12 pages and illustrations on the mythological king of all reptiles, known as the basilisk. It is said that meeting this creature could turn creatures to stone with a single gaze. The zine uses this metaphor of a deadly, petrifying gaze to talk about modern anxiety and gives tips on overcoming this stoney hold. Through the metaphor of folklore and myth, the author and artist have compiled a quick zine on fighting anxiety, like a hero of magical times, to navigate the everyday moments and thoughts that stop us in our tracks.
