Dwayne's Big Decision

Dwayne Black plays basketball, and is secretly really good at the french horn. Dwayne has trouble deciding whether he wants to join a band or continue his reign as the king of basketball. Making a choice is hard because either way he’ll be disappointing his teammates or his newfound band friend. What should Dwayne do as he struggles through having a passion for band and peer pressure?

This picture book was actually written by a boy named Jackson Jeffrey. And it was published by Young Authors Publishing—a nonprofit children's book publisher focused on producing diverse and culturally relevant children's books and to use book publishing as a vehicle to economic mobility for our young authors. Royalties from their book sales are deposited into a savings account for each young author to access at 18 to use toward their post-secondary plans.
