Assassination Vacation
by Sarah Vowell Author
This book is so nerdy and weird and fun and interesting. I'd say it makes the history of presidential assassinations come alive, but um. Anyway, Sarah Vowell, who you've probably heard before telling smart-funny history stories on the radio, is just as funny and smart in print, writing about her trips to explore the places where Lincoln, Garfield, and McKinley were killed. You'll learn stuff you didn't know (especially about the Presidents who weren't Lincoln) and gain a new grotesque perspective about historical tourism.
