Be The Change: A Toolkit for the Activist in You

by Gina Martin Author

Gina Martin, activist and author of this book, was the victim of a sexual crime while at a music festival. She reported the incident and was told by law enforcement that it wasn't actually a crime in the eyes, under UK law. She had resigned herself to accept this unsavory fact, but she was tired of accepting sexual harassment as an aspect of everyday life. A year and a half later, her activism made upskirting a criminal offense in the UK.

Bringing her experience in bringing about change, Martin has complied this book to provide the reader with tools to fight injustice, locally and globally. The book will inform the reader on what activism is and how to identify causes that are important to the reader. By teaching how to mobilize media, accessing legal aid, and more, the most important thing Martin might give the reader is a place to start.
