ANPO Struggle/Anti-US Japan Security Treat Protests of 1960

This poster depicts the protests against the ANPO, the US-Japan Security treaty, which allowed US bases in Japan and created a military alliance between the two countries. From 1959-1960, around one-third of Japanese citizens participated in protests against the treaty.
