Topple White Supremacy
In 2017 in Durham, North Carolina, activist and freedom fighter Takiyah Thompson tied a thick yellow strap around the neck of a statute honoring Confederate soldiers. With the help of a handful of other activists, they tugged and tugged and ripped the statue loose from its foundations, sending a message to the people of Durham and beyond that monuments to slavery and those who fought to preserve it have no place in 21st century America or anywhere else. Do it like Durham with those powerful poster. Hang it up in your home or your classroom and educate passersby about this momentous historical occasion.
