Artist Publishers Reflect on Book Waste
Building on prior publications, Half Letter Press invites 7 artist publishers to share their experiences of waste in bookmaking. They discuss past problems, future strategies, lessons learned, changes to reduce waste, interesting uses of waste materials, and tips for a less ecologically damaging publishing practice.
The honest, informative, thoughtful texts from each contributor highlight a hidden aspect of publishing that is rarely discussed openly and that most people might be unaware of. Each zine includes two unique sheets of bound-in overprinted book waste, making each copy slightly different.
