Designated Drivers, 2nd Edition

USB drives revolutionized digital information portability and easy data transfer between computers. Despite the challenges of internet access in regions like Egypt and the Middle East, where websites can be blocked or governments can throttle access, files still seek movement. Backups and continued sharing are crucial. This zine presents a project where twenty people and groups from around the world were invited to fill four-gigabyte USB flash drives with their chosen material. These drives were displayed in exhibition spaces attached to wall-mounted retractable laundry lines where viewers would be able to gain access and copy the material from each drive. This zine documents that exhibit and the contributions of the participants.
