This is a book I wish I'd had as a disaffected 10 to 15 year old. It provides understanding and tools based in ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) and is refreshingly non-patronizing. Lots of visualizations and interactive exercises for things like talking back to the negative voices in your head, figuring out your priorities, how not to get stuck feeling sad, worried, or self-hatey, and strategies to deal with everything from major grief to annoying friends.
