Patent Observations #1: Sample Findings from the Patent Applications of Los Angeles Area Inventors

Public Collectors administrator Marc Fischer created a series of three publications in response to a spreadsheet of over 34,000 patent applications by Los Angeles area inventors from 1976-2024. Each issue presents findings organized into playful categories. Issue #1 includes an introduction, editor’s notes, patent applications, and sections on Exercise, Diagnosis, and Bodily Manipulation; Cardiac Collection (heart imagery); Amuse-Bouche; Face Time; Phone Distraction, Hand-Held Tools & Devices; and an interview with librarian Stella Mittelbach.

This series is printed on six color risograph with unique paper stock for each issue, making each issue unique.
