Martin Sostre Poster

Known for his role in the prisoner's rights movement, Martin Sostre is often credited with having successfully implemented prison reforms from behind the bars of his own jail cell. As a revolutionary anarchist and anti-imperialist political prisoner, Sostre was a fierce advocate for the free speech, religious liberty, and due process rights of incarcerated people everywhere. As a bookstore owner and community organizer, Sostre brought his community together in Buffalo, New York, in solidarity against racism, classism, imperialism, and state oppression.
