How to Relax (Mindfulness Essentials)

Calming down and relaxing is so essential yet so difficult. Of all the little Thich Nhat Hanh "How to" books, this is my favorite one. He's clearly an expert on this subject and I am so very clearly not! He starts out talking about how wild animals heal from injury or shock by finding somewhere secluded to rest. We domesticated humans are very much jarred and stressed by modern life every day. And letting ourselves truly relax and breathe can be incredibly healing. These instructions and meditations are super helpful and it's soothing just to pick this book up, read a page, take a breath, and go back to your day.
