Comestible: Issue 4: Winter
by Anna Brones Author
In the first edition of Comestible since the US election, topics like health and food security have taken on even greater importance. This is by far the weightiest issue to date, including practical and thoughtful essays about topics like planning for uncertainty, planting for resilience, gender in the Afghan kitchen, elitism in the food movement, and more good stuff like "decolonizing foodways" and "voting with your food dollars is not enough." Hearty and soothing recipes include pozole, roasted Brussels sprouts, rose hip cordial and many more delicacies.
