Sindri “Sparkle” Freyr is an award-winning comedian, designer, and poet from Reykjavík, Iceland. Throughout their eclectic career they have been published in 3 poetry anthologies, exhibited paintings in respected galleries including Þula and Flæði, and appeared naked on television for 10 million people to see. In 2023 they won the Rising Star award at the Reykjavík Fringe Festival and they have just started touring their shows You’re Lucky He Was Nice and What is Kink? Baby, Please Hurt Me! Having been active in multiple fields from a young age has inspired them to integrate comedy, poetry and design sensibilities in their writing, with a focus on being aesthetically pleasing not just for the reader but also the viewer.
